CrossFit Milwaukee gave me the tools to produce the results that I wanted, and has the ability to adapt to your particular interests and needs. CrossFit Milwaukee has a great environment that is friendly, supportive, challenging, and competitive. How can you have all of these facets in one gym? I don't know - but CrossFit Milwaukee definitely does. That’s what happens when you have great coaches and a lot of chalk and sweat in the air.

CrossFit Milwaukee changed my life. I decided on January 1, 2011 that I was going to make a change in my eating habits and try a fitness program, a decision that many of my friends made at the same time. My husband and I decided to try the On-Ramp class with Ryan at CrossFit Milwaukee, to try and slowly ease ourselves into the idea of getting in shape, especially since we were coming “right off the couch” and had no previous experience in sports, exercise programs or nutritional programs. After our first On-Ramp class, however, we decided to dive head first into CrossFit Milwaukee. The class balanced group instruction on technique with individual practice, and then of course, an exhilarating and exhausting workout. Since that first class, we have come to a minimum of three classes a week because not only are the workouts always fresh and fun, but also because Ryan programs the workouts in such a way that we are really able to see our own improvement and achievement. My husband and I are the only ones out of all of our friends that have stuck to our New Year’s resolution, and we plan to continue forever! Ryan is the most experienced CrossFit trainer in Wisconsin and it has been a wonderful experience getting to know him and his awesome trainers, who’ve helped my husband and I achieve great things that we never thought we would be capable of. And as a woman who was always intimidated by gyms, I am also very grateful for CrossFit Milwaukee trainer Doreen, who has been and continues to be a great female role model for my progress. My husband and I have lost weight, gained a lot of muscle, and feel amazing. Thank you, Ryan and CrossFit Milwaukee!!!

While purchasing tile for remodeling the downstairs of my house, the store offered to have one of their younger stronger employees help me load 20 cases, 50 lb each into my truck. As we were loading, the employee had to stop and I asked him what was happening. He said that he needed to take a rest for a minute to catch his breath. I said "come on man, let's keep it going." When I got home, I had to carry each pack to my door and down the stairs for stacking. When I was done I asked my wife what was my finishing time. She looked at me kind of strangely - like why would I ask a question like that!! Thanks to Ryan and everybody, I'm enjoying a level of fitness that I haven't in many years. Thanks all.

There are so many wonderful things about Crossfit Milwaukee that I appreciate but the two most important to me are how welcoming and supportive everyone at the gym has been and how I feel completely comfortable working at my own pace towards my own goals. The supportive environment of the gym is also very motivating and my goals have changed dramatically since I started because I now know that I can push myself further and harder than I ever thought possible before. This attitude has changed my life, and the most exciting things is that not only have I noticed, but other people have noticed too and I have been honoured to be a source of inspiration to other people as well as myself. It is not only about the fitness and the physical achievements, but it is the knowledge that I can push myself to accomplish so many things that I never thought would be possible before

I have been very athletic all my life - a soccer player, a runner, and a snowboarder. Yet, after trying several attempts to get in shape for firefighting, I knew something was missing from my workout routine. I needed to pass the Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT). Seeing as though firefighting is highly physically demanding, I realized I needed and wanted to make a change, and fast. I looked to CrossFit Milwaukee with Ryan Atkins which now became my new found way of strength and conditioning.
The training I was doing with CrossFit was very different than anything I had ever experienced before. I learned very early on that if I wanted to really make a difference that this wasn’t going to be just about a nutritional diet or have forced workout routines, but a lifestyle change. I learned fitness can be fun and exciting. The results came quickly for me.
Training with CrossFit was the best decision I have ever made. I remember my first day of CrossFit - I thought I was going to die after 10 minutes. I said to myself, these warm-ups at CrossFit are most people’s “entire” workout. I was nervous just thinking that there was more to come after the warm-up. But that is when I knew that CrossFit was what I needed for conditioning my body. This was the best thing for me and my firefighting. My energy level has increased tremendously and I successfully passed the CPAT test for firefighting. I feel the best that I have ever felt in my life because CrossFit works!

I just want to say thanks to Ryan and his staff of instructors for all they have done for me through CrossFit. When I started in October, I was in decrepit shape due to years of laziness and a broken leg that derailed my only other from of excercise, cycling. I saw a freind who recently started your program and he loked great! After 3 months of training with Ryan and his staff. I am proud to say that I feel great! Gone is the winded feeling after going up 2 flights of stairs and in its place I have lots more energy and a new outlook on fitness! I look forward to the coming months of training and the improvements to my physique!

I started CrossFit in November. In the first class I realized not only was I not up to scratch in a cardiovascular sense, but my muscular strength was also not where it should be. After just one or two weeks I began to see results and was beginning to complete the sessions at the prescribed level. At the end of November I had not been running for over a month since the end of the football season. To my amazement, when running in California over the Thanksgiving weekend I found that I had cut over 5 minutes off my 4.5 mile run. Simply by working out at CrossFit, without hitting the pavement once, and in less than 1 month. I was a believer. Since then I have continued to make rapid strength and fitness gains. I now attend classes 4 times per week, complete sessions doing all unassisted pull ups and dips, and compete for times and scores with my fellow CrossFit'ers . All feats that would have been impossible just two months ago. The environment is fantastic. It's essentially personal training for the cost of a group class and its free on Tuesdays for the Bombers. Get down there for your pre-season. There is a lot to gain in just two or three months of CrossFit!

“If a 46 year old mom of five can do it, so can you”
I’m a mom of five; five c-sections in 8 1/2 years and told I would never be able to do a sit up again…This is what I told Ryan when I first started CrossFit, after he informed us we were to do “umpteen” sit-ups. He looked at me and smiled, threw down an ab mat, told me to do a few (not “try”) and then walked away. I thought, “I’m paying the man. He must know what he’s doing.” I did maybe 3 sit-ups. Six months later I was doing 150 sit-ups in 6 minutes…I started pull ups with a band, and again, six months later I was doing them unassisted…Rope climb? What mom would willingly climb a rope? I’m up and down that thing like a monkey. I could go on and on…
Bottom line is I am in better shape now at 46 than I have ever been in my life and I’ve been working out for 28 years. And it only took 6 months at CrossFit.
